The 62nd Londrina Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition, held by Sociedade Rural do Paraná, surpassed the 2023 mark and generated R$ 1.320 billion in business with the sale of machinery, cars, lines of credit, agricultural implements, animal genetics, inputs for livestock and agriculture, retail products and the gastronomic sector. This year, the event brought together 455 visitors to Parque Governador Ney Braga and offered nine thousand direct and indirect jobs. Furthermore, the 63rd edition already has a date to take place: from April 4th to 13th, 2025.

The event took place from April 5th to 14th and, according to the president of Sociedade Rural do Paraná, Marcelo Janene El-Kadre, the results were positive, even considering the drop in commodity prices. “Each year we are concerned with the quality of the activities that ExpoLondrina offers to rural producers and other visitors, whether through its technical agenda, equestrian activities, animal pavilions and the entire gastronomic and entertainment network. We seek to provide a good business environment for entrepreneurs”, he highlights.

For ten days, more than 32 thousand rural producers passed through Parque Ney Braga in search of knowledge, technology and innovations for the countryside. The number grows every year thanks to the partnership between SRP, Faep/Sindicato Rural de Londrina, IDR-Paraná and cooperatives from across the region.

Technical agenda

ExpoLondrina's technical agenda of lectures, workshops and seminars included 108 activities that filled the six event venues at Parque Ney Braga, with more than seven thousand participants.

Among the topics covered are future perspectives for agribusiness, soil management and recovery, mortality and neonatal care in beef and dairy farming, female strength in the field, the pork market, sustainable soy production, safety in poultry farming , challenges and strategies for dairy producers, among others.

Innovation and technology

Once again, the Smart Agro Pavilion was the hotbed of innovation and technology at ExpoLondrina. In partnership with Sebrae, the space brought together three auditoriums for lectures, in addition to 16 exhibitors and 15 startups. Via Rural Smart Farm, a partnership with IDR-Paraná, received 205 thousand visitors, where 3.450 people participated in the workshops and activities held in the space.

Animals

More than five thousand animals, including cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs and small animals, passed through ExpoLondrina in the 2024 edition. One of the new features was the ExpoGenética Pavilion, completely dedicated to presenting opportunities for breeders and producers, in addition to the exhibition of genetic improvement of around 40 cattle of pure Nelore breed origin, representing numerous benefits for the livestock farmer. In total, 11 auctions were held at ExpoLondrina, eight in person and three virtual, resulting in more than R$14 million in sales.

The equestrian competitions brought together thousands of riders at ExpoLondrina 2024. Together, the events totaled around a thousand horses registered in the Jumping, 3 Barrel, Pair Roping and Ranch Sorting disciplines. The Park's three equestrian tracks, which make up the Centro Hípico Impacto - SRP, underwent works to achieve the highest quality standard in the sport. The ExpoLondrina Impacto SRP State Jumping Competition inaugurated this new complex during ExpoLondrina with a prize of R$ 30 thousand.

Business

Around 300 exhibitors participated in ExpoLondrina 2024. With the presence of the largest national manufacturers of agricultural machinery and dealerships, more than one thousand vehicles were sold during ten days, more than R$190 million in contracts were closed through credit cooperatives and only two consortium companies together closed R$76 million in sales. In the gastronomic area, ExpoLondrina brought together more than 10 restaurants, 12 food trucks and 70 food exhibitors.

Expo Pet

The pet market in Brazil is the second in revenue in the world, an important force in the national economy. So much prominence led ExpoLondrina 2024 to open a space specializing in this segment, Expo Pet. The project brought together a prosperous business environment for companies of the most diverse sizes and segments, including business rounds and lectures.

For the general public, it was a showcase of everything that is new and innovative in this universe. On average, exhibitors distributed 30 to 60 free samples to visitors. In addition to the pavilions dedicated to the Pet market, the Park was also open to domestic animals. It was the first pet friendly exhibition, followed by rules, to guarantee everyone's peace of mind and safety.

Education and social actions

ExpoLondrina reinforced its social commitment on several fronts in 2024. The event received more than 30 thousand free visits among students, elderly groups and people with disabilities. In ten days, 265 municipal, state and private schools were served, totaling 20.146 students.

The Paraná Rural Society Museum welcomed 4.115 people, more than double the number in 2023. In addition to Paraná, visitors also came from Rio Grande do Sul, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso. Goiás, Amazonas, Ceará, Pará, Florida (USA), New York (USA) and Mexico.

The HU-UEL Square – Espaço Cuidar, a partnership between Sociedade Rural do Paraná, University Hospital and State University of Londrina, provided 30 thousand services during ExpoLondrina. There were 54 different activities, focused on health and well-being, carried out by more than 300 health professionals, students and teachers from HU and UEL.

The correct disposal of all waste generated at ExpoLondrina is another concern for the organizers. The work is carried out in conjunction with Kurica Ambiental and CS Ambiental. In 2024, 84,17 tons of waste/organic waste, 11,45 tons of recyclable waste and 6,42 tons of wood waste were collected.

This year, ExpoLondrina also received the CO2 Emissions Neutralization Certificate, certified by GPX. The action consists of neutralizing all the carbon generated by the event itself and by energy consumption during the 10 days of the fair.

ExpoLondrina ended its 62nd edition with the donation of more than R$ 1 million reais to the Londrina Cancer Hospital (HCL). The donation, which is already a tradition, practically doubled compared to 2023, and totals more than R$2,5 million in seven years.

This year's action is the result of the Roping Test, 3 Barrel Test, Ranch Sorting Test, Horse Auction and the commitment of great partners from Sociedade Rural do Paraná: Ilson Romanelli, Marcos Penha Garcia, Douglas Bussadori, Guilherme Rossi , Roberta Zanin, Sérgio Garla Filho, Tiago Romanelli, Guilherme Bogo, Danton Dequech, João Vitor Fadel, Natália Romanelli, Juliette Tsuruda, Wilson Oliveira, Wandeilson Pinto, Hideu Matsumoto and Tiago Amaral.

Entertainment

For the third consecutive year, Diverti was the company responsible for the production involving shows and rodeo at ExpoLondrina. Once again, the event was part of Circuito Sertanejo, the largest concert platform in Brazil.

At the Expo, there were more than 150 thousand people in eight days who visited six spaces (Arena, Camarote Brahma, Camarote Super Bull Ballantine's, Camarote Open Super Bull Ballantine's, Camarote Corporativo and Camarote da Rural), 15 nationally renowned musical attractions, seven DJs ´s, two days of horse racing, four days of bull rodeo, in addition to 11 artists at the Casa do Criador nightclub.
