Syngenta recently promoted Vinícius Andrade to the role of director of production, procurement and sustainability research for seed operations in Brazil. With more than 16 years of dedication to the company, Andrade has accumulated experience in the seed sector, having worked in several key roles that cover the entire end-to-end process, from plant breeding and product development to supply chain management. seed supplies and operations.

Graduated in agronomy from the Federal University of Lavras in 2005, Andrade completed a master's degree at the Federal University of Uberlândia in 2011 and obtained a postgraduate certificate in Supply Chain Management from the University of Warwick in 2017, in addition to other courses.

At Syngenta, he held several positions, such as director of seed production research for Latin America, head of soybean portfolio for Latin America, leader of soybean seed operations for certain territories and supply chain manager for the Brazil. He worked on several crops, such as soybeans, corn, sweet corn, sorghum and sunflower.

In his new role, Andrade will be responsible for leading production research, direct procurement and sustainability initiatives for seed operations in Brazil, focusing on innovation and the implementation of sustainable practices.
