Mariana Castanho recently took over as commercial director for Brazil and Paraguay at Corteva Agriscience. With more than 20 years at the company, she became responsible for the company's commercial area for the South, Southeast and Northeast regions of Brazil and Paraguay. In her words, "with the challenge of transforming Brazilian agriculture through innovation and technology".
Previously, she held the position of eastern commercial director at Corteva. Her responsibilities included the commercial organization of agricultural pesticides and seeds (Pioneer and Brevant) in the Southeast and Northeast of Brazil.
Mariana joined DuPont in 2001 as a financial coordinator. At the company, she held several roles, such as marketing manager, supply and distribution manager for Latin America and strategic planning manager.
With the completion of the merger of the agricultural areas of DuPont and Dow, he assumed "leadership" of the subsidiary Coodetec, with responsibility for incorporating the structure into Corteva.
