Oleoplan buys social shares from BBF Agroindustrial e Biocombustíveis

Business involves operating in the biodiesel production market; Oleoplan Group operates in the production of biodiesel, in the soybean industrialization process and in the supply of fertilizers and agricultural pesticides

Oleoplan Nordeste Indústria de Biocombustível, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oleoplan SA, signed a contract to acquire the shares of BBF Agroindustrial e Biocombustíveis Ltda, based in Paragominas (PA). The value of the deal was not disclosed by the parties.

The buyer is a limited liability company and wholly-owned subsidiary of Oleoplan SA Óleos Vegetais Planalto, a closed joint-stock company that is part of the Oleoplan Group. The group operates mainly in the production of biodiesel, in the industrialization process of soybeans and in the supply of fertilizers and agricultural pesticides.

In turn, BBF Agroindustrial e Biocombustíveis is a business company with limited shares controlled by Brasil BioFuels SA. This, in turn, consists of a closed joint-stock company that is part of the Brasil BioFuels Group. The BBF Group is involved in stages of the energy production process, from the cultivation and management of inputs used in the production of biodiesel and biomass, to the generation of electrical energy in thermoelectric plants.

Sources at Oleoplan reported that the business is aligned with its operations in the biodiesel production market.
