The harvest of summer crops continues throughout the State. According to the Economic Information produced and released today by Emater/RS, soybeans registered a gradual increase, reaching 8% of the harvested cultivated area. However, an increase in the pace of operation is expected in the coming days, as the area in the maturation phase reaches 42%.

In corn cultivation, the operation advanced only 1% compared to the previous week, due to the occurrence of rain and the prioritization of the soybean harvest by farmers and processing units. Thus, the harvested area reached 75%. The remaining crops are predominantly maturing (15%) and the off-season crops are in earlier phenological phases.

In relation to 1st harvest beans, the area harvested in the region with the highest production in the State, Campos de Cima da Serra, reached 15%, and most of the crops are in the maturation phase (60%). As a result, the harvest in the State reached 70%; 20% are ripe; and 10% in grain filling.

In 2nd harvest beans, the harvest reached only 1% of the cultivated area in the State, 50% are in the vegetative phase, 20% in flowering, 16% in grain filling and 7% in maturation.

Rice harvesting has resumed and is estimated to have been carried out in approximately 25% of the cultivation area; 50% of crops are in the maturation phase; and 25%, in grain filling.
