Sumitomo Chemical announced changes to its team and organizational structure. José Fabretti, previously vice president, was named president of Sumitomo Chemical Latin America. Other changes include the promotion of Juan Ferreira to global managing executive officer and Nairo Piña to Vice President of Agro Solutions in Latin America. Fábio Oliveira takes on a new role in Japan, while Luís Rahmeier is promoted to director of research and development.

José Fabretti, new president of Sumitomo Chemical Latin America, began his career at the company in 2005. With extensive experience in the agrochemical sector, he actively participated in Sumitomo's growth in the region, especially with the acquisition of Nufarm in 2019. He has a degree in agronomy and with MBA in management.

Juan Ferreira, upon taking over as "managing executive officer", begins to play a crucial role in the global management of Sumitomo Chemical. His previous experience as president in Latin America will contribute to his performance on the international stage.

Nairo Piña, with almost 13 years of experience at Sumitomo and an established career in companies such as Arysta LifeScience and GBM, assumes the vice-presidency of Agro Solutions for Latin America.

Fábio Oliveira, who stood out as director of research and development in Latin America, now leads Sumitomo's product development globally in Japan. Luís Rahmeier, promoted to replace Oliveira, has experience in areas such as regulation and sustainability.
