Brasif acquires Maxum and enters the agricultural machinery segment

Brasif SA, established in Belo Horizonte, entered into a deal to purchase all shares of Maxum Máquinas e Equipamentos Ltda., headquartered in Luiz Eduardo Magalhões. The two legal entities act as dealerships for brands belonging to CNH Industrial. The value of the agreement was not disclosed.

The deal marks Brasif's entry into the agricultural machinery and equipment distribution segment in Brazil.

Currently, Brasif distributes machines and equipment under the Case Construction, Hyster and Yale brands. It also sells FPT brand engines. The company has branches in the states of São Paulo, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Tocantins, Federal District and Paraná.

In turn, Maxum is a dealership that distributes agricultural machinery and equipment under the Case IH brand. It has five dealerships located in the western region of the State of Bahia and in the municipality of Bom Jesus, in the State of Piaui.
