American agribusiness giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) and biotechnology company BiOWiSH Technologies have announced a partnership to offer "BiOWiSH Fertilizer Enhancement" as an option for urea, monoammonium phosphate (MAP), diammonium phosphate (DAP) and NPK mixtures. The new product will be available through ADM Farm Direct Fertilizer and the company's wholesale business segment. Only in the United States.

“We are extremely excited to partner with ADM,” said Graham Beesley, CEO of BiOWiSH.

“Together, we will ensure that more farmers in the U.S. can experience the benefits of high-quality, biologically enhanced fertilizers designed to increase agricultural production in a cost-effective, safe and sustainable way.”

"BiOWiSH Fertilizer Enhancement" is a blend of proprietary microbial cultures coated in dry fertilizer or mixed with liquid fertilizer, creating an enhanced efficiency fertilizer. ADM plans to offer it as an option to be applied to dry fertilizers sold at several of its terminals for the 2023 season.

This product was developed to optimize yield potential by improving nutrient absorption and improving soil conditions for greater plant vigor. Utilizing BiOWiSH's proprietary HoloGene 3 technology, the company's endophytic Bacillus delivers nutrients from soil to crops through the rhizophagy cycle, establishing a symbiotic relationship between the plant and soil microorganisms.

"ADM is committed to offering solutions that increase farmers' profitability and help them sustainably meet the growing demand for agricultural products. BiOWiSH is one such solution," said Graig Whitehead, director of biologics and new technologies at ADM.

“It’s an easy addition to the fertility program for farmers looking to benefit from improved nutrient use efficiency and increased yield potential.”

"BiOWiSH Fertilizer Enhancement" is available at the following ADM U.S. fertilizer terminals: Blytheville (Arkansas), Camanche (Iowa), Madison and Ottawa (Illinois), Owensboro (Kentucky), and St. Paul and Winona (Minnesota). More locations in the US and Canada are expected to offer the improved fertilizer soon.
