The post-pandemic period promoted a revival in the reforestation sector and the resumption of projects that were on hold. This has brought an increase in demand for tractors specified to operate in this segment, from companies that provide services to large industries in the sector. And to reduce costs, these companies looked to car rental companies for a strategic business partner.

They, in turn, became new customers in the acquisition of tractors to be made available to service providers in the forestry segment whose occupied area in Brazil represents around 9.6 million hectares of reforestation.

The demand for tractors to meet this demand was so strong for LS Tractor that it prompted the Brazilian factory's engineering team to create the Forest version of the Plus line, which has models of 80, 90 and 100 hp. “Due to their specifications, they have become popular among service providers in the sector due to their reliability and availability of versions that suit the market”, points out the manufacturer’s marketing and product manager, Astor Kilpp.

The executive states that this opportunity served as “the tip of a ball” that brought more business in other segments and that today, in the company's overall calculation, the rental customer represents something like 15 to 20% of total revenue.

The Plus Forest models, for example, offer state-of-the-art Perkins engines with high torque at low speeds and transmissions in 12Fx12R versions with the possibility of up to 40F or R, providing versatility, fuel savings and efficiency in forestry operations. “Added to this, the entire external protective structure with railings made of special steel structures, front railing with double mesh screen, lower and side protections in 5mm thick sheets.
