Mosaic announced its entry into the growing Brazilian market for biological inputs. The decision marks the company's first foray into the sector in Brazil, following the expansion of its operations in this segment that began in the United States in August 2023.

The company announced the signing of contracts with three bioinput manufacturers, under which it will sell four new products under its brand: MBio Hidro, MBio Brad, MBio Azo and MBio Phos. These bacteria-based products are designed for seed treatment, with a particular focus on soybean and corn crops. According to the company, its benefits include improving plants' ability to deal with water stress and optimizing nitrogen fixation, crucial elements for sustainability and agricultural efficiency.

The company did not reveal the amount invested in this new front, nor the names of the supplier companies.

Mosaic plans to sell 170 liters of its new biological products on the Brazilian market throughout this year, expecting to generate revenue of approximately R$5 million. Deliveries of the products are scheduled to begin in two months. However, the company already negotiates them during the Show Harvest.

Eduardo Monteiro, Mosaic's manager for Brazil, shared ambitious visions for the company, expressing the objective of leading the Brazilian bioinputs market by 2030 and achieving sales of around US$100 million in this segment. This optimism is based on the quality and innovation of the products developed by the company's global Research & Development area, located in the United States.

Mosaic Biosciences, created by The Mosaic Company and launched on August 15, 2023, "arrives in Brazil with the aim of offering the most innovative in plant nutrition and soil quality, for the entire agricultural market. Its products are focused on bionutrition, being inoculants, biostimulants and biofertilizers", as disclosed by the company.
