ICL's innovation center in Conchal obtained accreditation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA). This is the third innovation center to obtain such accreditation, following in the footsteps of the Iracemápolis centers in 2020 and Cruz Alta in 2022.

The accreditation, formalized by ordinance 125/2024 published in the Official Gazette of the Union, gives ICL a prominent position in the agricultural research panorama in Brazil. With this accreditation, the company will be able to use the results of its research to register new fertilizers, carry out tests for the viability of fertilizers via seeds and bioassays to register biofertilizers.

ICL now stands out as the only company with three research centers accredited by MAPA dedicated exclusively to the area of plant nutrition. Michel Castellani (in the photo), director of research and development at ICL, celebrates the accreditation: “This accreditation brings greater agility for ICL to develop, register and launch innovative technologies for the national and international agricultural market, since the results generated in Conchal will also be used to obtain registrations for new fertilizers, biofertilizers and inoculants, among others.”
