With the increasing increase in the world population, the need to obtain high-yield production has grown even more. Therefore, to ensure that plants receive balanced nutrition evenly, fertilizer application must be effective.

To this end, KUHN is launching its new self-propelled distributor of granulated fertilizers and seeds, the Accura 4.0 BX, which combines the renowned 4x4 transmission system, active pneumatic suspension, chassis structure and boxer H sprayer cabin with the distribution system from the Accura line. This product is designed to serve small and medium-sized producers who seek to increase yield and quality in the distribution of fertilizers.

Its reservoir has a capacity of 4m³ and is capable of distributing products in working widths of up to 36 meters, depending on the fertilizer conditions (humidity, granulometry and density), distribution speed and wind.

Engine and transmission

The engine used in this self-propelled vehicle is from the MWM brand, model 4.12 TCE, with a volume of 4.8 liters and 190 hp of power, with turbocharger and electronic injection to guarantee high performance and lower fuel consumption, as well as lower maintenance costs throughout its life. useful. It has optimal torque point control, combining engine speed and torque with the machine's real needs.

The 4x4 hydrostatic transmission works with a double pump, independent hydraulic motors on all four wheels and planetary reducers, allowing you to always work at the best rotation speed, gaining fuel economy and machine performance, even on more difficult terrain. The Accura 4.0 BX does not have defined gears but distribution and transport speeds, there are two speed modes, with the maximum distribution speed being 20km/h and the maximum transport speed being 40km/h.

The Accura 4.0 BX features active pneumatic suspension and leveling valves that significantly help improve the equipment's performance on undulating terrain. Irregularities in the ground are identified by these valves, which act to fill or discharge air from the pneumatic bags, allowing better adhesion of the tires to the ground and preventing the transfer of shocks to the chassis, in addition to providing excellent comfort to the operator.

Cabin

The cabin offers a lot of comfort, it is the same one used in the Boxer H sprayer. The large glass area allows a privileged view of the entire operation. Access to the cabin is via a hydraulically operated front ladder, which retracts when the machine starts moving. The door sealing system guarantees greater acoustic insulation. The seat is comfortable, as it has pneumatic cushioning, and the steering column is adjustable. To the left of the operator is the passenger seat. The equipment provides excellent ergonomics. If you choose to use the rear camera option, the viewing area is increased, thus allowing full visibility of the application and safer maneuvering.

Reservoir

With a four thousand liter tank, the Accura 4.0 BX offers an ideal capacity for small and medium-sized properties. The innovative design of the tank, with inclined walls, guarantees ideal material flow, even on steeper terrain, also facilitating cleaning procedures.

The reservoir is made of stainless steel, a highly resistant and durable material. Easy-to-remove sieves make it impossible for hardened fertilizers to pass through, increasing the belt's useful life and maintaining distribution uniformity. The deflectors distribute the weight of the fertilizer, reducing the load on the belt. Access to the reservoir is via a wide platform, providing comfort and safety during operation. A level display, centered on the front of the reservoir, makes it easier for the operator to observe the product.

Adjust for different cultures

The IF320/85 R36 radial tire equips the Accura 4.0 BX and provides excellent resistance to loads during work and transport, as well as a significant improvement in traction capacity, compared to a diagonal tire with similar characteristics. The braking system is integrated with the transmission, through hydraulic motors.

The gauge opening and closing adjustment is fixed, at 2,5m, or can be adjusted manually, it can be pre-selected ranging from 2,70m to 3,50m, adapting to different crop spacings. With a free span of 1,60m, it has great versatility for applications in the most diverse stages of crops.

Triangular distribution profile

The triangular distribution profile, which equips the self-propelled vehicle, provides a uniform distribution, guaranteeing real gains in productivity, as it reduces the impact of driving errors, inadequate adjustments, waste of inputs, poisoning and lodging of plants due to excess fertilizers. The exclusive distribution system provides greater uniformity when compared to the trapezoidal profile on the market.

Precision Agriculture

Equipped with the seven-inch Agres – IsoView 35 virtual terminal, it is responsible for the distribution and autopilot systems.

The distribution system performs automatic distribution shutdown in the applied area overlap, dosage compensation according to machine speed, disc rotation speed regulation, variable rate application map processing, proportional control of the conveyor valve transport, calibration of the volume and weight of different types of fertilizers and control of the gate activation.

The autopilot is responsible for automatic steering on straight or curved parallel lines, control of hydraulic cylinder steering valves, slope compensation for rough terrain, disarming through touch detection on the steering wheel and wheel angle sensor for greater precision and fault diagnosis

Still integrating the precision agriculture system, it comes with the GPS/Glonass L1 receiver, which allows greater signal stability and has the optional IsoPoint 3, which allows distribution accuracy of up to 4cm.

Distribution system

The distribution system consists of a belt and gate, conductive brush, discs, transmission box and distribution strip.

The treadmill has a speed proportional to the forward speed and regulates the dose to be applied. The gates are activated when there is a need to cut a right or left section. Together with the opening of the gate, they regulate the dose to be applied.

The conductive brush prevents the segregation of material particles during application, ensuring correct deposition on the disc, resulting in better uniformity of the distribution profile.

The discs, which are fixed vanes, provide precision in adjustment, maintaining the fertilizer's flying properties. There are two options: S6 – 24m to 36m; S8 – 30m to 36m

The transmission box works in harmonious synchronization, ensuring perfect fertilizer distribution. Maintenance-free oil-bathed gearbox.

The distribution ruler assists with calibration, carried out by lateral adjustment, facilitating access. The system is very safe, as the operator does not have direct contact with the fertilizer or seed.

For calibration, you must remove the discs, collect the fertilizer that flows through the gates for 30 seconds and enter the flow rate in the virtual terminal.
