Ellen de Brabander will run for ADM board of directors

Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), a global leader in human and animal nutrition, announced that Ellen de Brabander, currently Elanco Executive Vice President for Innovation and Regulatory Affairs, will run for election to the company's board of directors. Voting will take place at the general shareholders meeting, scheduled for May 4, 2023.

Juan Luciano, president and CEO of ADM, highlighted the importance of the Board's leadership in transforming the company's portfolio and highlighted that the addition of Ellen de Brabander will bring new skills and experiences to drive ADM's growth.

In her current role at Elanco, she leads early and advanced-stage projects in the areas of pet and farm animal health, including nutritional health solutions. Her professional career includes stints at PepsiCo, Boehringer Ingelheim, Merck Animal Health and DSM. Brabander has a Ph.D. in bio-organic chemistry from Leiden University and has more than 60 scientific publications, 18 patents and several awards to his credit.

ADM also announced the retirement of senior director Donald Felsinger, who has reached retirement age of 75. Juan Luciano highlighted the importance of Felsinger's leadership and guidance in ADM's strategic realignment and growth process over the last decade.

Furthermore, Francisco Sanchez, a member of the Council since 2014, decided not to run for re-election. Luciano thanked Sanchez for his years of service, highlighting his experience and knowledge in public policy, global trade and international investment, and wished him success in his future endeavors.
