The executives of Sumitomo Chemical Company, based in Japan, Nobuaki Mito and Tadashi Katayama, both from the health and plant protection sector, from the solutions division for international agriculture, were at the company's facilities in Brazil and Chile in recent days.

The reason for the visit was to attend Sumitomo Chemical's corporate meetings. On that occasion, the executives met in São Paulo with senior leadership to align and update the business.

They took advantage of their presence in Brazil and went to Mato Grosso in the company of directors from Sumitomo Chemical, including the company's president, Juan Ferreira; and the vice president of Latin America for agricultural solutions, José Fabretti, to visit soybean fields and glimpse all the technology available for Brazilian agriculture in relation to machinery.

After visiting Brazil, Mito-San and Katayama-San went to Chile, where they participated in a meeting in a hybrid format with the country's leadership and employees. During the visit, Japanese executives reaffirmed that business in Latin America has a significant impact on Sumitomo Chemical's global operations.
