The Brazilian Association of Soybean Seed Producers (Abrass) will hold the 11nd Seed Protocol Workshop next Monday, November 2, an in-person event in Brasília, bringing together more than 40 representatives from associated companies. This meeting is an important milestone in the consolidation of standardized practices and the continuous improvement of the quality of soybean seeds in the country.
The workshop continues the development of the Seed Protocol, an initiative that aims to establish clear guidelines to ensure the production of high-quality seeds, from sowing to after-sales. This protocol covers the main stages involved in production: quality control, shipping and staff training.
According to Osli Barreto, executive director of Abrass, the event reaffirms the organization's commitment to the quality of Brazilian seeds. "This workshop offers a platform for us to discuss the challenges and advance in the standardization of best practices for the production of soybean seeds," explains Osli Barreto.
At the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to discuss practical aspects of seed quality control and shipment, including issues such as field condition diagnosis, sampling control methods, transportation logistics, and monitoring strategies. The training and commitment of the teams involved, essential topics for the sustainability of the sector, will also be highlighted.
Abrass emphasizes that the protocol has been developed in stages to ensure that the needs and particularities of each member are met. This collective effort represents a commitment to strengthening Brazilian agribusiness, providing the market with soybean seeds that ensure producers a highly productive and reliable harvest.
