Confaz maintains ICMS discount on agricultural inputs
Decision was published today in the Official Gazette, avoiding an increase in production costs and meeting Aprosoja's request
The Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja), in partnership with the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of Mato Grosso (Famato), will hold a Storage Project Workshop next week. The idea is to qualify professionals specialized in this type of project so that they are able to guide Mato Grosso farmers interested in investing in their own production storage structure.
The workshop will be held at the headquarters of the Mato Grosso Regional Agronomy Council (Crea-MT) in Cuiabá, from 8am to 12pm. The course is free, but has limited places. Registration must be made by telephone (65) 3644-4215. The content will be taught by representatives from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and Banco do Brasil.
“The initiative is part of the actions of the Armazena MT project and seeks to inform our members so that they can assess whether it is appropriate to have their own warehouses on their property or not”, observes the Agricultural Policy Manager at Aprosoja, Frederico Azevedo. The workshop will have a program focused on the preparation of storage projects, with information on documentation, requirements of each financing agent and criteria used in analyzing the processes.
Launched this year, the Armazena MT project is an action by Aprosoja to try to reduce the negative impact that the deficient warehouse structure in Mato Grosso generates on farmers. The idea is to inform members about the incentive and need for their own storage.
The idea is necessary because Mato Grosso faces a large storage deficit for grain production. Considering the requirements of the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization), a United Nations body that determines as a safety measure a storage capacity greater than 20% of production, the deficit is currently just over 37 million tons in the state.
Aprosoja brought together on this blog some valuable information on the subject.
