With R$9,8 billion in revenue, Copacol pays record surpluses to cooperative members

In a challenging year for poultry farming, responsible for 48% of the Cooperative's gross revenue, agricultural performance stood out

Copacol's revenue reached R$9,8 billion in 2023, growth of 6% compared to the previous year. The result was presented during the AGO (Ordinary General Assembly) held in Cafelândia.

“The obstacles overcome in 2023 demonstrate how strong we are when we cooperate together on this path, transforming people’s lives for the better, providing well-being and sustainability to everyone who is impacted by the Cooperative”, said the cooperative’s CEO, Valter Pitol .

In a challenging year for poultry farming, responsible for 48% of the Cooperative's gross revenue, agricultural performance stood out: 17,4 million bags of corn and 12,9 million bags of soybeans received by Copacol. In 2023, Copacol paid R$344 million in taxes.

The tradition of distributing surpluses, supplements and capital interest reached a record of R$165,4 million. The distribution was announced during the AGM, with payment of the second installment scheduled for Wednesday, the 7th.

In total, cooperative members will receive R$3,27 per bag of soybeans fixed at the Cooperative. R$ 1,20 will be paid per bag of wheat; corn, R$ 1,20; coffee, R$15; R$ 0,10 per liter; inputs, 4% of the revenue of what was purchased by the cooperative member in the Cooperative; supermarket and feed, 3%; juvenile, R$ 0,0293 (unit); R$0,41 per kilo of fish. Per bird, the total is R$0,60 (head); eggs, R$0,0174 per unit; suckling pig, R$ 4,18 (head); pig, R$ 37,70 (head).

The AGO also elected the new fiscal council for the 2024 fiscal year. The effective members are Jair Irineu Felipe, Martim José Steimbach and Paulo José da Silva; the substitute members are Altair Natal Pedroni Fanhani, Darci Mezzari and Jelci Lucia de Ré Motta.
