Minutes of the 9th Extraordinary General Assembly of Embrapa published
The deliberations took place on December 4, 2018; appeared in the Official Gazette of the Union only in January 2020
Businesses involving soybeans have picked up again in the Brazilian market, due to firm domestic demand. According to Cepea researchers, the current high price levels encourage soybean farmers to sell the remaining product from the 2018/19 harvest and the few volumes already available from the 2019/20 season. Greater liquidity, low current stocks, the delay in the summer harvest and the drier climate in parts of the South and Northeast regions explain the upward movement in prices. In the January partial, the ESALQ/BM&FBovespa soybean Indicators Paranaguá (PR) and CEPEA/ESALQ Paraná are at the highest levels for the month since 2016, in real terms (values deflated by the December IGP-DI). - www.cepea.esalq.usp.br
