Wheat has its development favored

The center of a polar air mass of moderate intensity is located between the border of Santa Catarina and Paraná, more precisely in the western region of these states. As a result, Wednesday (11) dawned with thermometers showing very low temperatures, with temperatures below 5°C in many municipalities. We are likely to hear reports of very punctual and very weak frosts in some parts of Paraná and São Paulo, but without any negative consequences for crops.

Due to the presence of this mass of polar air, temperatures will remain low until tomorrow (12), and it is only between Friday (13) and Saturday (14) that it begins to weaken and, as a result, temperatures gradually begin to rise. There is no risk of frost and much less damage to any crop.

Regarding rain, also due to the polar air mass, the weather remains open and with no precipitation forecast in practically all of Brazil, with the exception only in the eastern part of the Southeast, including Rio de Janeiro, southern Espírito Santo and southeast of Minas Gerais. However, the rain is expected to be light to moderate in intensity and only cause interruptions in field activities, as in the case of the coffee harvest in Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais.

In other regions of the country, with the dry weather, harvesting activities will continue without major problems throughout this week. Even with the absence of rain, soil moisture levels in wheat-producing regions will still remain satisfactory, therefore favoring the development of crops. So far, there is nothing unusual with the weather that could cause any type of concern or even damage to the agricultural sector in Brazil.
