Wheat Congress debates panorama and trends in the cereal market

With the aim of strengthening and promoting the growth of the Brazilian wheat production chain, the 29th International Wheat Industry Congress, an event organized by the Brazilian Wheat Industry Association – Abitrigo, will be held on the 25th, 26th and 27th of September 2022, in hybrid format. In-person participation will be promoted at Bourbon Cataratas do Iguaçu Thermas Eco Resort, in Foz do Iguaçu (PR).

Registration for the online format continues until September 23rd with a 50% discount. The program for this edition includes the inaugural lecture “Political and Economic Perspectives”, which will be given by the Political Scientist and professor at Insper SP, Fernando Schuler, at the opening of the event.

On Monday, 26th, the event begins with the panel “Food Security and the Wheat Market”, which will have the participation of the FGVAgro coordinator, Roberto Rodrigues and the private wheat market consultant, Pablo Maluenda and moderation by the journalist specialized in agribusiness and Marketing, José Luiz Tejon. The program continues with the panel “The vision of women in managing the wheat business”, which will feature the CEO of Mulheres do Agronegócio Brasil, Andrea Cordeiro; the CEO of the Dallas Group, Dorcy Zorzo Casarin; the General Director and Vice-President of Buaiz Alimentos, Eduarda Buaiz; the President of Moinho Globo, Paloma Venturelli, President of Moinho Globo and the Director of Attuale Comunicação, Mariele Previdi, who will moderate.

The event continues on Tuesday morning, with the panel “Consumer Market Trends”, which will be moderated by the President of Moageira Irati, Marcelo Vosnika, and the presence of Euromonitor International research analyst, Mikaely Correa; the President of ABIMAPI, Cláudio Zanão and the founder and President of “La Panière” – France, Pascal Cantenot. The last debate of the event will have the theme “Innovations and Technologies in Brazil and the World”, with the presence of the co-founder of AAA Innovation and founder of Disrupt Investment and Innovation, Arthur Igreja; the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations, Paulo Alvim and the moderation of the President of the Deliberative Council of Abitrigo, Rogério Tondo.

“This year, in addition to bringing the sector together to share knowledge and debate the future of the wheat chain, the Congress will be an opportunity to establish new connections in favor of the development of the cereal in the country”, explains the Executive President of Abitrigo, Rubens Barbosa .

In parallel to the event, the Business Fair will be held, with presentations and offers of products, machines, equipment and systems and cutting-edge technologies. “In addition to debating the challenges faced by the sector in recent years, new consumer demands and future opportunities, participants at the 29th International Wheat Industry Congress will have the chance to close important deals in order to continue the development of the chain ", ends.
