Termotécnica innovates with Styrofoam bases for cultivation
Productivity, quality, versatility and sustainability are advantages of the Universal Base for DaColheita Substrate
The analysis of precipitation in the period is in the Mereotological Bulletin nº 3, published by Embrapa Agrosilvopastoral and dand according to the publication, between the months of January and April the rains were well distributed across practically the entire state, which was sufficient for the good development of 2nd harvest corn crops. Only in the southern and western regions was there a greater volume of precipitation in February, but this did not affect sowing and plant growth.
The reduction in rainfall in June and July, however, did not affect the crops that were already in the ripening and harvesting phase.
The document also mentions that in the second ten days of May, rainfall was above average and caused occasional damage to harvested grains, but nothing that affected the state's productivity.
According to data from the Embrapa meteorological station Agrosilvopastoral, located in Sinop (MT), the total volume of rainfall in the period, 1.016,8 mm, was the average for the previous three years, when the station started operating. However, rainfall was better distributed across ten years and months in 2017. This better distribution resulted in the maintenance of a high level of water stored in the soil for longer.

The harvest estimate from the National Supply Company (Conab) indicates that Mato Grosso is harvesting a record corn harvest. It is expected to produce 26,56 million tons of cereal, a volume 76,2% higher than the 15,07 million tons recorded in the 2015/2016 harvest.
Agrometeorological Bulletins
This was the first harvest in which Embrapa researchers regularly produced analysis reports on rainfall in the state. There were three publications, one in November, during the soybean sowing period, another in February, during the harvest of the 1st crop and planting of the 2nd crop, and this third at the end of the cycle.
Built on data agritempo), Weather Prevision Center and Climate Studies (CPTEC/INPE), from the National Institute of Meteorology(inmet) and the Embrapa meteorological station Agrosilvopastoral, the bulletins seek to provide subsidies to producers and financing agents with technical information about the behavior of rainfall during the harvest.
