Exports of orange juice in concentrated equivalent ended the 2021/22 season with a slight drop of 3% compared to the previous one. Between July 2021 and June 2022, shipments to all destinations totaled just over one million tons, according to data from Secex. Revenue totaled US$1,68 billion, an increase of 9% in the same comparison.

According to Cepea researchers, this is the second consecutive harvest in which shipments have closed with a slight drop in volume and one of the justifications for this lower performance is the low production of oranges in the citrus belt (state of São Paulo and Triângulo Mineiro) in the last two seasons (2020/21 and 2021/22), which reduced ticket stocks. In the case of revenue, the increase was linked to the higher average price in dollars.
