Veros, a technology startup for agribusiness, developed a platform to reduce costs, enhance productivity and contribute to planning and decision-making for rural producers and agribusinesses. The company will showcase this technology during Agrishow 2022 - 27th International Agricultural Technology in Action Fair, which takes place between April 25th and 29th, in Ribeirão Preto (SP).

The integrated data management platform for agribusiness relies on blockchain technology, which guarantees security, reliability and authenticity of information. The tool controls, in real time, the entire agricultural production chain, that is, before, during and after the gate, with traceability and relationship modules. “The data collection and reports generated prove the quality and sustainability processes of companies and rural producers that adopt the technology, with the transparent dissemination of relevant information to all stakeholders and for decision-making, in a more agile and assertive way”, explains Daniel Araujo, CSO at Veros.

At a time when Brazilian agribusiness aims to contribute to food security in the world and seeks to improve its communication with international buyers, national consumers, investors, the financial market and society, the Veros platform becomes a strategic tool to support rural properties and participants in the agroindustry with reliable and safe data, which reaffirm the quality of food production and ensure environmental protection actions. With real-time monitoring, it is still possible to monitor whether the planting and harvesting parameters of each crop are being followed, reducing waste in the use of inputs, supplies and natural resources. This control can also be expanded to distribution and logistics processes.

According to Luis Roloff, CTO at Veros, “data automation and the historical record of all information and transactions carried out bring more visibility to some processes, enabling substantial efficiency gains and reducing the time for issuing and analyzing reports intended for to customers, investors or just for internal management”. This allows rural producers and other agribusiness companies to improve relationships with consumers and other links in the chain, creating intelligent and segmented campaigns through the platform. All information can be made available through QR-Codes or User ID, with access levels defined by the account administrator.

The system is also easily auditable, simplifying the work of companies that need to prove the origin of their products and processes of quality and sustainability. Screening can begin with the purchase of inputs and supplies, go through the production process and continue through distribution and logistics, until arrival at the point of sale. Each step is recorded on blockchain to generate even more confidence in the data that will be presented and integrate companies into the universe of new crypto technologies.
