Rural Show Special: Fair welcomes 298.910 people and generates R$2,5 billion in business

Soybean prices rose in February, as shown by data from Cepea. Between January 31st and February 7th, the ESALQ/BM&FBovespa soybean indicators Paranaguá (PR) and CEPEA/ESALQ Paraná rose 1,7% and 0,5%, respectively, closing at R$ 86,79/sc of 60 kg and R$ 80,73/sc on Friday, the 7th. The increase is linked to the new record level of the dollar, which closed at R$ 4,319 on the 7th, an increase of 0,84% between the last two Fridays .
As for harvesting, activities are at a slow pace in Brazil. In addition to the delay in sowing in September and early October 2019, the rains of recent weeks disrupted the harvest in Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Paraná.
