Valtra A4 HiTech family of tractors wins "Machine of the Year" award

Valtra celebrates the newest award received for the A4 HiTech tractor series at SIMA - Paris International Agribusiness Show, an agribusiness event held in Paris between February 24th and 28th. The new models received the title of "Machine of the Year" in the category of tractors under 150 hp.

The selection was made by 24 journalists, representing almost 30 agricultural magazines and online publications from across Europe. The SIMA - Paris International Agribusiness Show “Machine of the Year” award is one of the agricultural machinery industry's prestigious honors, recognizing key innovations in technology and performance.

“The constant recognition and number of awards won by our fourth generation tractors has been impressive. Valtra machines have been awarded by independent judges and our customers thanks to their design and, especially, their ease of use. We consider this recognition as a result of our continuous work with customers”, comments Mikko Lehikoinen, Vice President of Marketing at Valtra EME, which operates in countries in Europe and the Middle East.

Launched abroad in January this year, the new Series A tractor models – A104 and A114 HiTech 4 – offer producers a new level of comfort and performance. The new 16+16R powershift transmission is designed for smooth, effortless operation, minimizing clutch pedal use. The transmission features four ranges with four speeds in each. Six speeds are available in the main working range, between 4 and 12 km/h.

A series of automatic and pre-programmable functions allow the operator to concentrate on the implement used and the work environment, while the tractor takes care of the movement. The mechanical cab suspension (optional) offers driver comfort. Tractor performance monitoring is also simpler to operate, due to the new instrument panel.

Previous generations of the A Series of Valtra tractors have also received awards on different occasions, such as the title of “Machine of the Year” in 2017 and the Red Dot Design 2018, in the “Commercial Vehicles” category.
