Epamig promotes two activities aimed at promoting culture in family farming

The Minas Gerais Agricultural Research Company (Epamig) will hold two activities next week, on March 25 and 26, in Lavras, to disseminate upland rice cultivation technology.

On Tuesday, the 25th, the program will be exclusive to Emater-MG extensionists. The course will take place at the Epamig Sul Headquarters, on the Campus of the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) and will cover everything from crop implementation to seed production and storage.

The lectures, which will also cover soil and fertilization, pests and diseases, and herbicide management in crops, will be given by researchers from Epamig and UFLA. The state technical coordinator of Emater-MG, Rhamillye Bartels Van de Pol, will open the program with the theme “Importance of Rice for the PNAE”.

The closing will be in charge of the regional technical coordinator of Emater-MG Joselaine Ferreira Lopes and the extensionist Geraldo José Rodrigues who will speak about “Research and extension – Success in strengthening family farming”.

Third Upland Rice Technology Meeting

On Wednesday, the 26th, Epamig and UFLA/Research Group on Genetic Improvement of Highland Rice (MelhorArroz) promote the 3rd edition of the Technological Meeting on Highland Rice.

The free event takes place at 8 am, at Fazenda Muquém - Center for Scientific and Technological Development in Agriculture at UFLA (Anel Rodoviário de Lavras, 1823) and will be open to the general public.
