UPL brings two new features to Tecnoshow Comigo, between April 4th and 8th, in Rio Verde (GO). The first is Evolution, its new and effective technology for controlling the complex of fungal diseases that harm soybean productivity and quality. The second is the Natural Plant Protection (NPP) division, which consolidates the company's growing portfolio of inputs and technologies of natural and biological origin.

"Goiás produces more than 12,5 million tons of soybeans per year, equivalent to 11% of the Brazilian harvest. The incidence of fungi can compromise productivity and represents the main challenge for farmers in the region. That's why we took it to Tecnoshow Comigo our new and differentiated solution to combat this problem, a complete fungicide, with multisite action for high productivity: Evolution", explains Marcelo Figueira, fungicide manager at UPL Brasil.

Evolution combines three distinct and complementary modes of action. This composition makes it highly effective against phytosanitary challenges that can represent a loss of 8 out of every 10 bags per hectare, generating immense losses in production and compromising the supply of the oilseed and the various links in the production chain involved.

"Evolution is modern and highly effective against the five main diseases that affect soybeans: target spot, Asian rust, anthracnose, leaf blight and powdery mildew. Furthermore, it is an innovative technology, bringing together systemic action and multisite – a concept, in fact, created by UPL –, acting simultaneously on different points of the fungi's metabolism, minimizing the possibility of creating resistance", explains Marcelo Figueira.

Natural plant protection

Natural Plant Protection (NPP), which in Portuguese means "natural plant protection", is another new feature from UPL at Tecnoshow Comigo. The new company reinforces the commitment to developing sustainable solutions for agriculture. Recently launched, the brand consolidates its broad and growing portfolio of inputs and technologies of natural and biological origin worldwide.

"NPP has a global presence and aims to shape and scale biosolutions. We are directing investments to provide farmers with solutions for increasingly sustainable food production. Our focus is on innovation and the development of technologies that benefit collaborative agriculture", highlights Dyogo Augusto Machado, business development director.

New global president

Mike Frank, new global president and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of UPL, will be present at Tecnoshow Comigo. This will be the executive's first official commitment and shows the importance of Brazil for the company. With more than 30 years of experience in the production sector, Frank leads UPL in developing solutions to strengthen food security and boost sustainable production.
