AgBiTech opens laboratory in partnership with UFG
New space will be opened in the first half of November and is the result of a strategic alliance between the company and the educational institution
UPL presents five scientific studies at the 45th Brazilian Coffee Research Congress. The event takes place between October 29th and November 1st, at the Hotel Monreale, in Poços de Caldas (MG).
“With special attention to coffee growing, we seek to contribute to the sustainable and increasingly productive growth of this activity with historical and economic importance for our country”, says the marketing manager for HF and perennials at UPL Brasil, João Mancine.
Among the topics brought by the company to the event are:
• Evaluation of the fungicide-bactericide Kasumin in the control of halo spot in coffee seedlings
• Efficacy of new technology for managing leafminers
• Efficiency of the fungicide Triziman and future technologies in controlling the coffee plant disease complex
• Fascinate BR and Zartan in the management of difficult-to-control weeds in coffee,
• Multisite fungicides in the management of coffee tree diseases.
The works will be presented by researchers Eros Molina Ochiena (doctor in agronomy from UFLA), Fábio Nascimento (development agronomist engineer at UPL), Felipe Santinato (doctor in agronomy from Universidade Estadual Paulista), Rodrigo Naves (agronomist engineer at Fundação Procafé) and Viviane Bartelega (master's student at the Federal University of Lavras).
“In addition to the presentations in the plenary, we hired our team specializing in coffee to share information and agronomic strategies with consultants, researchers and producers interested in increasing coffee productivity”, says Mancine.
At the UPL stand, emphasis will also be given to the company's plant health program, Pronutiva, which combines nutrition and crop protection with biosolution technologies, which includes the mineral fertilizer Biozyme especially for the coffee flowering period, when it helps the best fruit setting.
