UPL presents its integrated portfolio, with emphasis on the herbicide line, at the 18th Herbishow, an event focused on weed management in sugarcane cultivation, on May 22nd and 23rd, in Ribeirão Preto (SP). UPL will also promote two lectures and a surprise action with the participation of a celebrity.

At 8:45 am on May 22nd, right after the official opening of the event, ESALQ/USP professor, Pedro Jacob Christoffoleti, spoke about “Intelligent management of weeds in the various stages of the production process”. Then, at 9:15 am, UPL's sugarcane and pasture leader in Brazil, Carlos Peres, presented the “UPL integrated solutions for the management of weeds in sugarcane”. Among the highlighted solutions are the herbicides Alia, Dinamic, Dizone, Lava, Unimark, UpStage and Zartan.

“Herbishow represents an important opportunity to show the market how Nova UPL cares about offering technological solutions to boost the results of plants and suppliers. With a complete portfolio, we present the most efficient way to combat weeds in sugarcane cultivation, with the most complete portfolio on the market, helping producers to increase productivity levels”, highlights Peres.

Apply Well and UPL Fly

UPL will also highlight at Herbishow the Aplique Bem Program, a partnership with the Campinas Agronomic Institute (IAC), which trains farmers to correctly handle agricultural products, aiming to ensure safety for those working in the field and, consequently, for end consumers.

Another service presented is UPL Fly. “This project works as a tool for monitoring weeds in sugarcane fields. UPL Fly involves aerial observation of sugarcane plantations, with panoramic helicopter flights to check plots, farms and sectors that are successful or unsuccessful in controlling weeds, in addition to paying attention to monitoring failures and losses in planting areas”, explains Carlos Peres.

As a result of this aerial survey, it is possible to carry out a decisive survey of sensitive areas, with high-resolution images of sugarcane fields and georeferenced. This material helps sugarcane mills and suppliers make decisions in production areas and develop an assertive action strategy.

In addition to these two important services, UPL reinforces the Personalized Technical Workshop for plants and other consultancies with the aim of providing guidance and training to the plants' technical staff aiming at quality of management, profitability and productivity.
