The objective is to offer alternative crops for the second harvest to farmers in the cerrado. With 60 years of experience in seeds, Advanta Seeds has a strong presence in the southern region of the country, where canola is traditionally grown.
None of the companies reported or commented, but it is known that the varieties provided by Advanta to Embrapa for studies and analysis are: CC220530, CC90013, CC90014, CC91117, CL210002, CL210043, CL214102, CL91406, CT210001, CT210047, CT210105, Hyola Blazer TT, Hyola Enforcer CT, Hyola Equinox CL and TT90020.
Canola is a crop with high added value, being highly valued by the food industry for its high quality oil, which contains a large amount of Omega 3 and Vitamin E. Furthermore, the plant is important for crop rotation, nematode management , production of cosmetics, biofuels and animal feed.
"Embrapa has done fantastic research and development work, which gains even more strength through partnerships with the private sector. We are convinced that joining forces is fundamental to ensuring the evolution of Brazilian agriculture. By generating more value for rural producers and society with a low environmental impact, canola fits perfectly into UPL's global commitment to reimagining sustainability", declared Rogério Castro, president director of UPL.
