Units receive corn to supply over-the-counter sales in ES

A total of 4,84 thousand tons of corn were made available this week in Espírito Santo for the Over-the-Counter Sales Program (ProVB), operated by the National Supply Company (Conab). Small breeders in the state will have the opportunity to purchase corn to feed their flocks.

This batch of product is available for sale in two of the Company's storage units in the state, in the municipalities of Colatina and Cachoeiro. The price of corn for the first half of November is R$47,70 per 60 kg bag, using the local wholesale market as a reference, according to the program rules.

Currently, Colatina has 1.417 breeders registered in the Program while Cachoeiro de Itapemirim has 523. In total, in the state, there are 2.144 registered producers. Small poultry, pig, cattle, goat, sheep, quail and buffalo breeders will be served.

Interested parties who want to have access to the program must register in the National Rural Producers Registration System (Sican), available on the Company's website, and bring a copy of their ID and CPF, as well as proof of identification, address and qualification of its activities and scale of production/consumption, in one of the Conab units in its region.
