An initiative by the Essere Group, created to guide rural producers on the correct application of agricultural inputs, is boosting the productive potential of crops. The Integrated Application Technology Unit (UniTA) provides training in the main strategic agricultural markets in Brazil and Paraguay.
Lucas Guerreiro Rossi (pictured), program coordinator, explains that in addition to being a mobile laboratory with cutting-edge equipment used to assess and monitor the application of inputs, the UniTA units aim to guide the correct use of equipment and promote greater efficiency in phytotechnical management in the field, including the use of bioinputs, fertilizers, biostimulants and adjuvants. “The program’s mission is to add value to farmers by offering free application technology solutions that boost crop productivity, efficiently and sustainably,” he says.
The program serves farmers both from an educational perspective, providing guidance on the correct application of agricultural inputs, through a UniTA Master Educational unit, and through eight UniTA Regional Operational units, which offer training and technical assistance to professionals in the field.
In 2024, upon completing three years, UniTA Regional served 750 producers, working directly on 815 machines and evaluating 120 thousand spray tips. For next year, the program will continue to provide services in all regions of Brazil and Paraguay, with the possibility of new Units for the beginning of 2025, training and qualifying professionals.
For a better multiplication of knowledge, instruction in the use of equipment and products, the UniTA team, which has nine professionals, agricultural engineers specialized in Application Technology and Precision Agriculture, is constantly evolving through specialization training and the search for new technologies.
