Modern agriculture depends heavily on the efficiency and smooth functioning of agricultural machinery. With this in mind, a group of experts in agricultural mechanization from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) launched, in September, the "Agricultural Machinery Regulations and Maintenance Manual". This book, which is already on pre-sale and will be officially presented at the Santa Maria Book Fair, promises to be a reference for rural producers, field technicians, academics and others interested in the area.
Organized into eight chapters, the "Agricultural Machinery Adjustments and Maintenance Manual" covers a wide range of essential equipment for agriculture, such as agricultural tractors, soil preparation equipment, seeders, planters and transplanters, agricultural sprayers, solid product distributors , grain harvesters, equipment for animal husbandry and, finally, the organization of the rural workshop. Each chapter was developed to explore the information necessary to achieve maximum performance from each type of equipment. The authors used simple technical language, with the aim of communicating directly with the machine user, facilitating the resolution of immediate problems and promoting effective maintenance.
With 191 pages in A5 format, the manual was printed with images in natural colors to provide a better visualization of the techniques and procedures described. Publication and marketing are being carried out by the Editora da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. During the "Save the Book" campaign, the "Agricultural Machinery Adjustments and Maintenance Manual" is now available for pre-sale on the Editora UFSM website (editoraufsm.com.br), with free shipping and exclusive gifts.
Written by Alexandre Russini, Alfran Tellechea Martini, Catize Brandelero, Daniela Herzog, José Fernando Schlosser, Marcelo Silveira de Farias, Rovian Bertinatto and Valmir Werner, all linked to the Agrotechnology Laboratory of the Agricultural Machinery Testing Center at UFSM, the manual provides a vast experience and practical knowledge in the field of agricultural mechanization, ensuring that the content is both technical and accessible.
The official presentation of the manual will take place at the Santa Maria Book Fair, at the beginning of September, offering an excellent opportunity to meet the authors, participate in discussions and learn more about the maintenance and adjustment of agricultural machinery.
The "Agricultural Machinery Adjustments and Maintenance Manual" is a great investment for anyone who wants to maximize the efficiency and useful life of agricultural machines. With guidance from UFSM experts, this book promises to be an essential tool for people who work with agricultural mechanization.
