In recent years, Ubyfol has shown broad growth in the plant nutrition market. And to accompany this expansion, the company adopted strategies that will transform all its communication. As it couldn't be any different, the first change would have to start with the product packaging. To achieve this, the company listened to the demands and needs of its customers, farmers from all over Brazil, and developed a new project that includes renewing the brands of each product.

According to Marina Bragine Ferreira, the company's communications analyst, this project began in the second half of 2018 when the entire Ubyfol portfolio was updated, and each product gained its own color, which allowed not only to associate it with an operating concept , but also improve your identification in everyday life. “We listened to producers and identified their main needs, and it was with this understanding that Ubyfol redesigned its packaging line”, she highlights.

The modernization of labels and the adoption of colored caps for the 10 main products brought greater organization of information, greater agility in handling in the field and significant competitiveness and value in the distribution market, which is increasingly demanding. “The new packaging line will mainly facilitate the identification of products by those responsible for preparing syrups in the field”, says the professional.

The beginning of the project foresees changes to the packaging of liquid products. The first appearance of the new product took place during the ANDAV Congress, in São Paulo, where visitors and distributors saw the packaging first hand. According to the company's analyst, in addition to packaging, the project also includes the renewal of the complementary line that includes buckets, boxes, bales and special labels. “The second stage will take place in the first half of 2020, where all packaging for soluble powder products will be modified”, says Marina.

Guaranteed packaging quality

The technical aspects of the packaging, such as size and shape, will remain the same, as the models were previously adapted to the needs of the field. Ubyfol currently works with 1, 5 and 20 liter derivations, with 100% of the 20 liter gallons being produced in the industrial unit itself, and only the remaining derivations acquired by suppliers. “We have a daily production capacity of 1.200 gallons of high-density polyethylene, and the process uses an average of 65% virgin raw material and 35% reused, coming from scraps from the gallons produced”, says Marina.

The next step is to also redesign the foreign packaging, starting with the content in Spanish that is distributed in Paraguay. The launch will also have a great influence on Ubyfol's annual media plan and national event strategies, where the appearance of packaging will be included in all projects.
