Twenty companies will participate in the fourth edition of the Rural Coopavel Winter Show, scheduled for the period from August 22nd to 24th, in Cascavel, in the west of Paraná. These are research companies linked to wheat and winter crops, manufacturers of pesticides and agricultural machinery and also industries linked to Coopavel's portfolio.
“The fourth edition will bring numerous new features, mainly in high-performance cultivars. We will have at least 20 varieties of wheat and ten of them reaching productivity of around six thousand kilos per hectare, double the national average”, observes the president of Coopavel, Dilvo Grolli. The West and Southwest of Paraná, with an average of 3,8 thousand kilos, have everything to consolidate themselves as the major national wheat producers.
Together, the two regions plant 434,4 thousand hectares of the grain, but have the potential to more than double this number, as 447 thousand hectares would be available for cultivation in the cold months of the year. These two regions already produce 1,41 million tons, but taking advantage of all possible potential, and maintaining the region's average productivity, production would reach close to three million tons/year. The additional value to GDP would then jump from the current R$1,65 billion to R$3,3 billion.
“These numbers make it clear that wheat is a crop with excellent opportunities, both in productivity and profitability”, highlights the general coordinator of the Rural Coopavel Winter Show, agronomist Rogério Rizzardi. Those who visit the fourth edition will see the best in varieties and management, being able to reproduce on their property numbers very similar to those achieved in the testing field where the technical event takes place, highlights Rogério. Gates will open from August 22nd to 24th at 8:30am. Access, parking and lunch for visitors will be free.
The companies that confirmed their presence at the 2023 Winter Rural Coopavel Show are: Adama, Basf, Biotrigo, Biotrop, Corteva, FMC, John Deere, Bayer, Sumitomo Chemical, OR Sementes, Syngenta, Raíx, Tortuga/DSM, Bionat, Ihara and UPL. And the companies in Coopavel's portfolio with guaranteed participation are: Fertilizados Coopavel, Nutriagro, Bioocop, Coopeclean, Sementes Coopavel and Espaço Impulso, in addition to Credicoopavel.
