Trimble, a global reference in advanced technologies for precision agriculture, participates in the Simal symposium, the largest congress on weeds in Latin America. The event takes place online on June 09th and 10th, starting at 8 am.

According to Embrapa, estimated crop losses caused by weeds can reach more than 90%. Being, on average, 13 to 15%, only in grain production.

According to Trimble product specialist, Fernando Compagnon, “Participation in Simal is a great opportunity to present cutting-edge technologies capable of helping farmers solve the problem with invasive plants.”

Savings of up to 90% on herbicide application

During Simal, Trimble highlights the selective spraying system, WeedSeeker, which applies agricultural pesticides where invasive plants are found, identified using sensors. Efficient against resistant weeds, input savings can reach up to 90%. Furthermore, with WeedSeeker it is possible to apply “green on green”, which is spraying in a field with the crop already emerging; the system can also be installed on any type of sprayer, whether trailed or self-propelled equipment.

Fernando Compagnon will give a talk about WeedSeeker, on the 10th, at 11:20 am.

To participate in Simal, you must quickly register in advance. Access the link and guarantee your invitation: https://simalsimposios.com/patrocinio/trimble/
