Trimble, a global manufacturer of advanced technologies for precision agriculture, brings to Showtec, which takes place in Maracaju (MS) between January 16th and 18th, a set of technological solutions to maximize producer productivity and profits. One of the highlights is the Trimble WeedSeeker system, which applies agricultural pesticides selectively to weeds, avoiding unnecessary expenses and promoting better control over resistant harmful plants, such as bittergrass. Savings on input can reach 90%.

In an interval of just nine years, between 2009 and 2018, the income from agriculture in Mato Grosso do Sul, measured by the Gross Value of Agricultural Production (VBP), from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), went from R$ 8,835 billion to R$21,528 billion, that is, almost two and a half times higher, which represents an increase rate of 143,6%. According to Tiago José Cury, sales channel representative at Trimble, in the agriculture division, the region has great potential for growth and investing in technology is extremely important.

“We want producers in Mato Grosso do Sul to have access to the most advanced and innovative agricultural technology in the world. We are fully satisfied with personally bringing solutions that can help the growth of agribusiness in the region”, says Cury.
