Transport of 35,2 thousand tons of corn will be contracted to meet ProVB

A new removal of corn must be negotiated by the National Supply Company (Conab). This week, two more notices were published for the freight of 35,2 thousand tons of grain in order to supply the storage units that serve the Over-the-Counter Sales Program (ProVB) in all regions of the country and make the product available to small breeders of registered animals that use it for feed.

Of this total, 24,47 thousand tons will be offered in a auction to be held on December 4th. Another 10,74 thousand tons (30%) are destined for cooperatives or associations of autonomous cargo transporters, in accordance with the legislation that establishes the percentage reserve of freight without bidding for this segment. In the case of self-employed people, proposals must be submitted by December 4th.

The grain will be removed from warehouses located in Mato Grosso, Goiás and Piauí to the Company's storage units located in Alagoas, Acre, Rondônia, Sergipe, Amazonas, Roraima, Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Tocantins, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Maranhão, Pará , Paraíba, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte and Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to the Federal District.

It is worth noting that transport companies participating in the auction must observe the minimum price per axle established by the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) table, depending on the characteristics of the vehicles used in transport. In case of non-compliance with the price determined by the Agency, the winning company will be responsible, which may be penalized with the temporary suspension of operating with Conab for up to 2 years and the cancellation of the lot, in addition to being subject to the penalties provided for in Law no. .º 13.703/18.

To participate in the auction, you must be registered with a commodity exchange, in the Conab National Rural Producers Registration System (Sican), in addition to presenting other documentation required in the notice, such as the Declaration of Compliance with the Minimum Floors for Road Cargo Transport . In the case of self-employed people, proposals must only be submitted through transport cooperatives or associations, as well as the other documents requested in the call notice.
