TRAIVE, a fintech specialized in agricultural credit, participates in Tecnoshow for the first time and, at the invitation of the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of Goiás (FAEG) and the National Rural Learning Service (SENAR Goiás), they use the space at the event to recognize three of the seven producers who participated in the first financing program backed by green bonds, CRA VerdeTech. This action takes place in the first week of April, and is also attended by representatives from Planeta Securitizadora and Produzindo Certo.

CRA VerdeTech, an innovative action coordinated by Traive, was carried out in March 2021, and has the role of encouraging producers to continue good production and technology practices with a focus on adapting to constant climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. stove. All seven producers obtained financing from the issuance of CPRs from ESG-certified production areas.

The total value of the operation was R$63 million and these first three selected achieved zero deforestation targets and operational procedures with the best low-emission agricultural practices.

“An unprecedented operation that has proven to bring benefits to the entire chain, from producers to the financial market. In 2022, we hope to triple the volume of operations backed by green bonds, and in the coming months we should have good news about a second round”, comments Luís Lapo, Risk Director at Traive.

The first three groups that had their work recognized at Tecnoshow were: Benildo Teles, Paul Henri and Gilmar Facco. In addition to these, four more producers from Mato Grosso will be the next to receive this action from Traive. “I participated in CRA Verde﹒Tech, as I found its entire methodology and actions that protect the environment interesting. I understand that it was an interesting move for agribusiness investors and producers, who will have access to more affordable and sustainable financing”, explains Paul Henri, rural producer and partner at Sementes São Francisco.

For Benildo Teles, from Grupo Teles and partner at Agrogalaxy, CRA VerdeTech was an excellent opportunity. “CRA Verdetech came to meet the rural producer and especially me, with the opportunity to be producing correctly and have a greater vision of environmental commitment. It is easier to have credit with a CRA operator (Planeta Securitizadora) and a better price when selling products to trading companies because we are producing correctly”, celebrates Teles.

In this first round of recognition, the three producers from Goiás strictly followed low-emission agricultural actions, such as: Integrated Pest and Disease Management (IPM), Soil Management and Conservation, Waste Management Plan, Management and Mitigation of the Use of Fertilizers and Use of Agricultural Correctives and adoption of a Sustainable Energy Use Program in Rural Environments. “Brazilian producers who are producing responsibly and are able to provide transparency to their socio-environmental indicators have a huge opportunity to navigate the capital market and have access to new sources of resources that value the environmental results produced from the outset. CRA VerdeTech implemented this action and is helping to unlock the potential of green financing for Brazilian agriculture”, says Aline Locks, CEO of Produzindo Certo.
