TMG - Tropical Melhoramento & Genética, a Brazilian company providing genetic solutions for cotton, soybeans and corn, held its traditional Field Day for soybean cultivation between February 15th and 18th. The event took place at the company's headquarters, in Cambé (PR), and was attended by partners and licensees for a program that included visits to the facilities, presentation of new cultivars for the portfolio, conversation circles on topics relevant to the sector, and lots of interaction between participants.
The main focus of the event was to present the launches for the next harvest. “With the new features in the portfolio, we will provide our commercial partners and farmers with cultivars with high productive potential, and broad adaptability for the entire southern region of Brazil.”, reinforces Rodrigo Romanha, Product Development Supervisor at TMG.
The action had a complete structure to receive around 250 people, and complied with all guidelines to protect guests and the entire TMG team present at the event against Covid-19. “We prioritize the safety of everyone present at the event. And in this way we managed to meet all our expectations during this traditional field day in the region,” emphasizes Rafael Rodrigues, Commercial Manager at TMG.
Main launches in soybean cultivars
With innovation and investment in technology being one of TMG's premises, the company presented to its guests the new cultivars, which are part of a new generation of the company's genetics, presenting high production potential, combined with stability and breadth of regions.
TMG 2360 IPRO and TMG 7362 IPRO - Cultivars with a high production ceiling, with a cycle suitable for the entire south of Brazil, also presenting good heat tolerance, low risk of lodging and great stability;
TMG 2356 IPRO - Precocity with stability. This cultivar is also resistant to the main soil diseases;
TMG 1155 RR - Serves producers who seek super precocity, profitability and low risk, especially in relation to lodging;
TMG 71X57 i2x - First cultivar on the new Intacta 2 Xtend platform, which features Inox Plus technology, providing safety against Asian soybean rust and high production potential.
“We managed to meet all expectations. We were surprised by all the participants, ranging from licensees to large producers in the region. Furthermore, we count on all the commitment of the students from the State University of Londrina (UEL), who through Consoagro, a consultancy company for the Agronomy course, helped us with the organization, and in return, were able to further enrich their vision of the agribusiness”, concludes Rafael Rodrigues, Commercial Manager at TMG.
Meeting of agribusiness women
During the event, a meeting of women who work in agribusiness was also held. In total, 30 producers, agronomists and professionals in the field participated in a conversation to exchange experiences and stories together with the female team that works in charge of TMG's operations. The guests learned about the company's entire cutting-edge structure, as well as the products present in the portfolio - including launches for the next harvest - and talked about the challenges and needs they face in the field. For Account Manager, Flávia Espanhol (photo below), the action was important for the interaction between the company and producers. “In addition to being pleasurable, it was a very important experience. We listen to your stories, understand your challenges and create a genuine connection. This closer contact brought a broad vision, and with it the possibility of being more efficient in our deliveries.”
