TMG Conecta brings the field closer to the office

TMG application seeks integrated communication between all employees

TMG – Tropical Melhoramento & Genética, a Brazilian company providing genetic solutions for cotton, soybeans and corn, always works in search of technological innovations that enable the integration of digital platforms into the company's day-to-day operations. Recently, it implemented TMG Conecta in its internal communication actions, an application designed to facilitate the flow of information and interactions between all its employees.

The application was developed as a solution to a problem faced by many companies after the pandemic caused by COVID-19, in maintaining proximity to employees when working remotely. Added to this scenario, there was also the need to integrate the field into the daily issues that circulated on the company's intranet.

“The main challenge was to make information go beyond the front desk, where computers are not part of employees' daily lives. Today, with access to smartphones with internet, the path to this solution, which has been a success in all sectors, has been made easier”, says Camila Camara, HR supervisor at TMG.

The content shared on the application ranges from information about TMG's cotton and soybean cultivars, tips on good practices for using social media, code of conduct, commemorative dates, payroll, company events and achievements. Employee engagement with content is monitored by the internal communications team, which is able to measure which topics are most popular with the internal public.

Currently, around 375 employees have the application installed on their smartphones, and more than 80% engage with the content disseminated. The publicity campaign had the motto “Listen to the sound of innovation arriving in internal communication”, and presented a headset to each employee who performed the download application.
