Cooperative IT: Forum addresses protection, efficiency and productivity through digital solutions

The Cooperative IT Professionals Forum began this Tuesday, the 8th, at the Digital Rural Show, one of the attractions of the 34th Coopavel Rural Show. The event aims to exchange information and experiences between different segments that use technology to increase efficiency and innovation in cooperatives. 

The opening was attended by vice-governor Darci Piana, the president of Coopavel, Dilvo Grolli, and secretaries. “You are doing something much bigger than cooperatives. They are uniting the sector through IT”, said Darci. “This is an increasingly strategic sector in the daily lives of our cooperatives”, added Dilvo.

Speakers Ricardo Emmerich, president of HPE, and Bruno Martins, director of Strategic Development at Gartner, demonstrated how digital transformation and optimization are fundamental to efficiency, as well as the importance and need to define and measure the progress of digital businesses.

“At a time when we are talking about technology, to increase productivity, there is nothing more interesting than collaborating, bringing a little of our experience talking about how important it is for us to understand where our digital transformation is”, stated Ricardo, who pointed out that technology and innovation are complementary.

In the afternoon, the Forum was attended by experts from the companies Sophos, Huawei and DHEO Consultoria, who discussed agribusiness with Cloud, AI and 5G and also demonstrated the importance of protection against Ransomware and digital attacks. “The agricultural sector will have a tendency for Rasomware attacks in 2022, as happened in 2021 with some companies. So, protection is a very big need from now on”, warned André Carneiro, director of Sophos. 

The professionals' presentation demonstrated, mainly, how important preparation is to deal with the digital environment and the benefits that this environment provides for the most diverse areas. In addition to the lectures, the Rural Digital Show has numerous technology stands to share knowledge in the area and bring solutions to rural areas.
