Thiago Alves is the new "VP, Head of Seeds Production Latam” from Bayer Crop Science. Having worked at the company for more than three years, he was previously the executive director of corn production (Brazil).
Graduated in agronomy (UNESP), Thiago has specializations in seed production and plant improvement (UFLA). Also, master's degrees in breeding (UFU) and supply chain (University of Warwick). And postgraduate degree in digital business (USP).
Thiago Alves began his professional career at Syngenta, in the seeds area. Over almost 18 years, he held several positions. His last post was “Supply Chain Head for Seeds” for Brazil and Paraguay.
Through its consultancy, Bayer informs that, despite the initials "VP", the position not is de vice president. The company did not explain the meaning of the acronym.
