There are approximately 250 hectares left to complete the cotton harvest in Goiás. The cotton harvest in Goiás reached 99% last Friday, the 10th. The last week remained slow in this conclusive phase. The survey is carried out by the Cotton Culture Incentive Fund in Goiás (Fialgo), which coordinates the Boll Weevil Control Project in Goiás, responsible for monitoring the entire harvest period on cotton-producing farms in the state.

Region 1, made up of the municipalities of Goiatuba, Morrinhos, Palmeiras de Goiás and Turvelândia, reached 93,26% of its area, compared to the 90,28% recorded on day 3. This value represents 11,53% of the total area harvested in Goiás.

In Region 2, which encompasses the municipalities of Caiapônia, Chapadão do Céu, Jataí, Montividiu, Mineiros, Rio Verde, Paraúna and Perolândia, the harvest reached 99,62%, slightly above the 99,57% recorded in the previous week. This value corresponds to 53,63% of the entire planted area in Goiás.

Region 3, which covers the municipalities of Cristalina and Luziânia, completed the harvest, which corresponds to 33,31% of the total at state level.

In turn, Region 4, formed only by the municipality of Britânia, completed 100% of the harvest in the first week of August. However, this percentage represents 0,53% of the entire planted area in Goiás.
