With the aim of increasing wheat productivity in different regions, Coodetec held TecTrigo, last Tuesday, the 04th, in Castro, PR. The event was attended by producers and representatives of the main companies and cooperatives in the cold region of Paraná.

During the meeting, consultant and agronomist Joaquim Mariano Costa gave a lecture on the factors that directly influence crop results. He talked about climate, diseases, crop rotation, zoning and soil fertility.

In addition to this information, the main and most recommended wheats for the cold region were also presented. Highlights include the launches CD 1303 and CD 1705. “Coodetec is investing more and more in research and these products are the result. The CD 1303 bread/improver is the fastest bread maker on the market and will please the farmer looking for high yield”, informs Product Development leader, Olavo Correa.

CD 1705 wheat is mild and, according to Correa, brings peace of mind to the producer, as, in addition to good yield, it has tolerance to the main crop diseases and excellent health of leaves and ears.

The researcher at Fapa (Fundação Agrária de Pesquisa Agropecuária), Juliano Luiz de Almeida, followed the evolution of Coodetec seeds and says that the company's strong point is in industrial quality. “Today, many cooperatives have mills and this market demands quality. We always recommend seeds that result in flour that meets the needs of our customers and Coodetec is concerned about this, in developing cultivars with the quality that the market is looking for.”

The company's advances in improvement were also highlighted by Castrolanda's seed technical advisor, Charles Allan Telles. “The CD 1303 proved to be an excellent option. It has excellent health and low size. I was satisfied with the information I received and knowing that Coodetec advanced good wheat to the cold region”, he argues.

TecTrigo will also be held at the Seeds Experimental Station (Grupo Floss) in Passo Fundo/RS, on Tuesday, the 11th, starting at 9:30 am. There, the person responsible for the main lecture will be professor and researcher Elmar Luiz Floss. In Cascavel/PR, the event took place on September 13th, at the Coodetec headquarters.
