New technology against Asian soybean rust shows results
Field Days in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Goiás will show the results of the Saori fungicide
The Itaipu Technological Park – Brazil (PTI-BR) is preparing an intense program, in 2022, with the Fienile Group, from Minas Gerais, which operates in several states, and specializes in crop technology.
The partnership will be highlighted in two major Agribusiness events: the Copagril Field Day, between January 19th and 21st, in Marechal Cândido Rondon (PR), with more than 170 companies registered. During this period, the 1st edition of AgroInova will take place, a space especially focused on innovations and technologies applied to agribusiness.
Furthermore, in February, PTI-BR and Grupo Fienile will participate in the Digital Rural Show, which is part of the 33rd edition of the Coopavel Rural Show, in Cascavel (PR).
The Fienile Group developed the Irriluce Technology, which uses artificial lighting in crops in irrigation equipment, aiming to optimize the farmer's work. These are LED modules that stimulate plants to carry out the photosynthesis process, even at night, improving soil fertility and reducing the need for fungicides.
The CEO of the Fienile Group, Gustavo Grossi, explains that the work is not just about light, having an efficient technological apparatus from the pivot to the use of water flow. Furthermore, nutrition and soil structure recovery work is necessary, including the management of technologies that remineralize the soil so that the farmer's result is the best possible.
He also emphasizes the importance of research during the process. “We always make it very clear when we reach the farmer that it is not just about investing in Irriluce Technology, or acquiring the irrigation pivot, or even adapting the water irrigation pivot that he already has with light irrigation technology , It takes a lot more than that. You must be willing to contribute to research, welcome researchers to your property to evaluate the development of the project for at least the first three years”, said Gustavo Grossi, CEO of Grupo Fienile.
This willingness to contribute to research will now have the support of the Technology Park, which has agribusiness as one of its four thematic lines – energy, infrastructure security, tourism and smart cities are the others – and has technology, innovation, research and entrepreneurship as objectives that permeate all of its projects.
For the director of business and innovation at PTI-BR, Rodrigo Régis, the partnership with the Fienile Group will bear fruit as both organizations seek technological innovation in agribusiness, with a focus on generating business.
“A technology park has the mission of contributing to the development of the region where it is located. It has the role and duty of working to diversify the economy, stimulating innovation through technological solutions and entrepreneurship. And this technological entrepreneurship has high added value. Therefore, the partnership with the Fienile Group is very important”, highlighted Régis.
The superintendent director of PTI-BR, general Eduardo Garrido, believes that the partnership with the Fienile Group will generate a great increase for agribusiness in Paraná and throughout Brazil.
“Agribusiness represents more than 26% of Brazil’s entire Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In Paraná, agribusiness accounts for more than a third of the state's GDP. Therefore, the partnership with the Grupo Fienile group is essential. The path is technology and innovation to generate more and more jobs, income and social well-being. This is the mission that PTI-BR wants to help achieve,” said Garrido.
