Mathematical model predicts HLB dispersion from citrus
A mathematical model can help farmers assess the impact of the huanglongbing disease (HLB), also known as greening, on citrus crops in the country
Syngenta solutions and services, aimed at achieving new productivity rates, can be explored up close by visitors to this year's AgroBrasília, which takes place between May 10th and 14th at the Ivaldo Cenci Technological Park. Held by the Agricultural Cooperative of the Federal District region, the fair expects to receive more than 100 thousand people, including researchers and professionals representing the various segments of agribusiness.
Syngenta's highlight at AgroBrasília is its Elatus™ fungicide, which provides superior results in terms of productivity and control, in addition to 21 days of residual. In just the first year of use, 13 million hectares of soybeans were treated, and the average increase in productivity was 3,25 bags per hectare in Brazil. With the support of a video wall and Rift glasses, visitors will expand their knowledge about the product, its benefits and results, which can also be confirmed on the fair's field circuit.
Following the concept of interactivity that permeates the company's entire participation in the fair, Syngenta solutions for Industrial Seed Treatment will be presented in a specific structure, the “Seedcare Elevator”, which will simulate a descent, so that on each floor the visitor is presented to all the benefits linked to the use of the solutions, as well as the structure of the company dedicated to this market segment.
Interactive tunnels
Three interactive tunnels that will allude to a field trip will bring testimonials and videos about the effectiveness of the insecticides Ampligo and Engeo Pleno, and the fungicide Elatus for soybeans, in addition to the Agrisure Viptera 3 biotechnology for corn. Each of the tunnels will have 14 monitors that will make up two main screens, on which different stories of achieving high levels of productivity will be shown to visitors.
