Processes for efficient agriculture are increasingly developed, technological and controlled. There is greater reliability in the data generated in the field and in agricultural operations and, as a result, we have more effective analyzes and decision-making. In conventional systems, applications have little or no control over the amount of product applied, which generates waste and loss of productivity.

The technological equipment installed in the machinery makes daily life in the field easier and brings even more precise and economical results in applications. Through a single module you can control different products, liquids and/or granular. And by offering a solution for both grains and sugarcane, the Raven RCM rate and section control module is intended for applications in sprayers, solids distributors, planters and vinasse applicators.

When planting, when using the Raven RCM module together with hydraulic motors and clutches, it is possible to cut by section or line by line. The use with electric motors provides, in addition to line-by-line cutting, curve compensation, which makes it possible to change the rotation of the seed distribution plate disc. The result is a more uniform planting with the distribution of seeds at the desired spacing across the entire planting area, including in curves, in addition to reducing overlap. Paired with the SGM, the singularity module responsible for line-by-line monitoring of seeds, it obtains important information such as the average number of seeds planted per hectare, spacing between seeds and percentage of failures, which further contribute to obtaining better planting results.

In liquid applications, the Raven RCM makes it possible to cut up to 16 sections, plus two fence nozzles, if necessary. In the cultivation of sugar cane, the fertigation of vinasse, liquid residue from activities in the sugar and alcohol sector, is in many cases carried out using trailers. When working with the Raven RCM module, the application process is optimized, drift is reduced, section cutting and fixed or variable rates are available. The sugarcane by-product is reused more efficiently, contributing to the environment. When applying solids, the distribution discs, sections and products are controlled, and the scale can also be read. More precise control in applications provides greater quality, savings and satisfactory results.

PROFILES FOR LIQUID AND SOLID APPLICATIONS

It is possible to move the RCM from one machine to another in a practical way, as the module is fixed by magnets that facilitate this movement. Furthermore, Raven RCM can store up to eight application profiles, making it possible to control the rate for liquids, solids and planting with the same ECU. Another feature of the module is the possibility of copying the profile from one RCM to another RCM.

The rate control module and RCM sections have unlock levels, which makes it scalable. For liquid and solid applications, level 0 is used to monitor up to five products. Level 1 is used to control a product with section shutdown. If there is a need to control more products, level 2 is recommended. XNUMX, which controls up to five products with section shutdown.

 LIQUID APPLICATIONS CONVENTIONAL SYSTEM

In the conventional system, the application of vinasse occurs through the winding reel, equipment that works by spraying and can operate in different reliefs, there is no rate control or section cutting and high drift occurs. Another option used is the tank truck with a rear bar for irrigation, in which the flow is uneven and there is no control over the application. Vinasse is the residue from the fractional distillation of fermented sugar cane juice to obtain ethanol. To enrich this residue, chemical nutrients are added, which together make up the liquid fertilizer used by the plants. The vinasse used has excellent performance as a fertilizer, as it provides nutrients to the soil, being used frequently in cultivation areas, however, for a correct application, which is effective and does not harm the environment, it is necessary to control the amount applied. .

Another difficulty in the conventional way of applying vinasse is having real control over areas already applied, that is, the total area covered. And for this reason, the lack of this control would not prevent, for example, a trailer from entering the same area twice. Causing waste of time and product, thus increasing operating costs.

LIQUID APPLICATIONS WITH RAVEN RCM

The system provides section cutting, reduction due to excess product released into the field without proper control, optimization of the use of vinasse, with greater control of application rates. Resulting in real control of the applied area and the total coverage achieved.

RAVEN CR7 FIELD COMPUTER

Together with the CR7 monitor, the RCM provides documentation and variable rate for up to five products. The CR7 is a seven-inch field computer that features customizable work screens, easily accessible settings, ISO UT (Universal Terminal) and task control capabilities make this device a plug-and-play option. The CR7 supports Slingshot telemetry system file transfer and remote support, as well as a Raven electric pilot and hydraulic pilot.

SOLID APPLICATIONS CONVENTIONAL SYSTEM

Application occurs via distributors, which are characterized as batch concealers, strip concealers, individual lines, solid organics, among others. For example, in conveyor belt distributors, the applied dose is regulated by varying the conveyor speed, exit nozzle and machine travel speed. Gravity applicators use centrifugal force for distribution. There is no uniformity in the application, and to work with a variable rate, the adjustment in the distributor is carried out manually, the control of process information occurs imprecisely. Once a distributor is adjusted manually, as it does not have automatic rate control to carry out field applications, constant machine RPM and speeds become mandatory, which, in practice, is almost impossible due to factors such as topography of land.

SOLID APPLICATIONS WITH RAVEN RCM

In solid applications it is possible to control up to four products and four sections, control the distributor discs and also the reading of load cells when available.

RAVEN VIPER FIELD COMPUTER 4+

Along with the Viper 4+ monitor, RCM provides documentation and variable rate for up to ten products. The Viper 4+ integrates with Raven's entire product line on a connected platform that offers an efficient and intuitive 12.1" touchscreen with an easy-to-use tablet-style interface. You can customize the Viper 4+ per user and machine. Isobus communication protocol, which means the possibility of working with equipment and devices from different brands. Easy job setup, fewer touches, and greater efficiency enable extraordinary data management capabilities.

 CONVENTIONAL SYSTEM PLANTER

In the conventional system, the machine is calibrated so that distribution occurs at a constant speed and the wheelset is used to touch the distribution mechanisms, using interconnected ratchets and chains. This forces the operator and the machine to maintain a constant speed during sowing, which in some way impacts the objective of the results. The lack of control and monitoring during planting can result in overlapping and uneven application, which directly impacts plantability and, as a consequence, productivity. Other points that directly impact the planting window and results are the maintenance and care of the machinery, and it is important to investigate possible clogging of planting lines and/or lack of inputs in the reservoirs. These factors can cause the operator to travel long stretches in the field without knowing that the inputs ran out a few meters ago, or that one or more lines are clogged; the failure will only appear when germination occurs.

PLANTER WITH RAVEN RCM

The RCM also provides control of up to 32 clutches and thus performs on/off control of the planting lines. For cases where it is necessary to control hydraulic motors, up to four are possible, and in cases where electric motors are used, the possibility is up to 16 with curve compensation.

In practice, an RCM module is used together with a 12-row planter with four hydraulic motors and 12 clutches or with 16 electric motors for line-to-line disconnection. For 60 lines with clutches, two RCM modules are used.

To obtain monitoring during planting, level 0 is used, while to control a product with shutdown of 16 sections with clutches, level 1 is used; if there is a need to control more products, level 2 is recommended, which controls up to five products with shutdown of 16 sections with clutches and support for scales; curve compensation and control of up to 32 sections with clutches are enabled at level 3. Using this technology provides greater quality and uniformity of planting.
