Unesp will coordinate research in partnership with the production sector
Sugarcane plant health center will be financed by Fapesp and Grupo São Martinho
The rice mapping work in the South Zone and External and Internal Coastal Plain regions of Rio Grande do Sul is completed this Friday by the National Supply Company (Conab). Technicians from the state-owned company carried out visits to crops in the state throughout the week with the aim of validating crop information.
The result should help in updating the mapping of irrigated rice from the 2019/2020 harvest and in studies on the use of water in the crop. The Rio Grandense do Arroz Institute (IRGA) also acted as a partner body in this work.
Technicians from the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Centers (NATEs) provided assistance in identifying the location of the rice areas included in the mapping, in addition to providing local agricultural information.
The mapping process carried out by Conab occurs through a Decentralized Execution Agreement between Conab and the National Water Agency (ANA). Click here to access the agricultural mapping area on the Conab website, with information on other crops and previous rice harvests.
