Technical cooperation agreement aims to expand family farming’s access to institutional purchases

In order to increase the participation of family farming in institutional purchases in Paraíba, the National Supply Company (Conab) signed a cooperation agreement with the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Paraíba (IFPB). The objective is to promote cooperation and technical support to expand the dissemination of notices and the execution of the Alimenta Brasil Program, Institutional Purchase modality.

Among the commitments made, it is expected to guarantee that 100% of the items that make up the IFPB's public call notices are part of the set of foodstuffs produced by family farming. The work plan also includes holding at least one annual meeting between IFPB campuses and family farming organizations to improve the execution of institutional purchasing.

The agreement was signed on the 28th and is a consequence of the determinations of Decree No. 8.473/2015 and Resolution No. 3 of the Alimenta Brasil Program Management Group.
